Elite Kicking Coaching was established in 2010 and has since been providing bespoke coaching to professional players, teams, schools and colleges
Elite Kicking Coaching (EKC) is ran by Scott Sneddon and his aim is to provide highly specialised coaching for the integral niche of kicking within the game of rugby union.
EKC uses a blend of theoretical concepts, teaching techniques and personal experiences to create a range of unique coaching programs.
During his early career at Cardiff Blues Academy Scott realised there was a lack of specialist coaching in the game of rugby union. Frustrated by the situation Scott studied for an MSc in Coaching Science and gained his UKCC Level 3 Coaching award in order to fill this gap.
After graduating Scott played for Cardiff RFC, Glamorgan Wanderers and Newport RFC during which he worked closely with the British & Irish Lions Kicking coach Neil Jenkins. This is when he began to pursue kicking coaching, assisting age grade teams within Wales as well as leading the coach development for the Cardiff Blues region.
Scott relocated to the South East of England in 2014 and signed with Rosslyn Park (National One). He has forged an integral role within the club both as a player and coach for the First XV. Alongside this he continued to grow and develop Elite Kicking Coaching, recently fulfilling a long term ambition by training with Jonny Wilkinson, a world class kicker.
In Summer 2017, Scott was offered the chance to fulfil a one of his ambitions by being offered his first professional coaching contract with the Hong Kong Rugby Union. He accepted a role National Skills and Kicking Coach with the HKRU XV's and Sevens programme. After being a part of the coaching team that has helped Hong Kong 7's win the Asian Games, Hong Kong XV's reach Rugby World Cup repechage in France, narrowly missing out to Canada for the last place in the 2019 RWC in Japan.
In January 2019, Scott was promoted to Attack & Skills Coach for the HKRU and the newly formed South China Tigers, who compete in Global Rapid Rugby.
Scott combines his role at the HKRU with the Head Coach role at Kowloon Rugby Club whilst studying for his Level 4 with the Welsh Rugby Union.

What players think of my coaching ...
Scott is an excellent resource for players looking to improve kicking skills, performance and analytical skills.
Scott is extremely energetic and also possesses excellent communication abilities and understanding of the game of rugby, therefore effectively challenging the way you assess your own game.
Thank you Scott, a job well done!
I approached Scott for some advice regarding goal kicking - specifically in respect of both ball/body positioning and focus/power techniques. Scott's teaching methods were analytical, methodical and pragmatic and have resulted in a significant increase in my long term success rates.
A worthwhile and enjoyable experience
My son Tommaso, age 16, plays scrum half and quickly realized that kicking is a key part of the game.
Scott combines the rare ability of teaching all kicking techniques clearly and simply, demonstrating what he is explaining (top class kicker!) and making training sessions fun and dynamic.
For anyone looking to seriously improve their kicking game, I couldn’t recommend more Scott!
